Welcome to Purchasing Services.
Purchasing Services is structured to assist departments in their procurement needs and support Washington University's cost containment objectives.
A Note from our Executive Director
Alan Kuebler, Assistant Vice Chancellor and Executive Director for Resource Management, says that "In Purchasing Services, we look at the schools' departments as our customers and we aim to give outstanding customer service. Purchasing Services is taking an active role with departments to assist them in conducting purchasing related activities. These services include product sourcing, contract negotiation and management, RFP development, proposal analysis and supplier management.
In order to carry out its service-oriented mission, Purchasing Services employs a team of contract management liaisons who provide the services outlined above. This team will spend a significant amount of time on a routine basis with assigned departments promoting an effective interchange that will result in the realization of the department's goals.
